Little Ash Man

Dino Land

Thanks Great Pop Ken and Great Grandma Rosalie for another dino/dragon for Liam! Liam is also sporting his new outfit from Great Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy. Also seen is Liam's new constant companion, a little wooden hammer.

A Not-So-Photogenic Christmas

We had some problems getting good shots. Those slow shutter speeds weren't doing us any favors! Laugh along.

Christmas Celebration

We had a very nice Christmas out here in Illinois with friends. We started the morning as a family, then went over to the Provosts for dinner. Although we miss our families, it was a wonderful way to spend the day!

Don't we look happy?!

A Christmas Cactus Miracle

Who knew... a Christmas cactus that actually blooms on Christmas?! In our house, this a first. Living in LA probably messed the poor thing up, it seems like LA does that to people and plants alike.

Daddy's Little Helper?

Several days ago, Andy was fixing our futon and Liam was trying to help. He helped a lot, doing everything from getting his head in the way, taking the flashlight and tools, to sticking his finger accidently up Andy's nose while waving his arms in excitement. Sometimes it is easier, but not as funny, to fix things while Liam is napping.

One Month Old

Asher is one month old today! We are so thankful for our happy, little guy. He is a joy getting to know better each day. He is starting to smile a bit, which just warms our hearts!

Liam at the Provosts

Liam gets to spend time with the Provost family every week and loves it!

Christmas Party

Here are a few photos from our youth group Christmas party. We had an ugly Christmas sweater competition. Can you believe neither Andy or I won?!

Climbing

Liam has reached a new level of climbing capability. These are places that we have discovered him after having our backs turned for a moment. Gotta love that mischievious face!

Christmas Picture

We took our Christmas picture a few days ago and I just have to share how funny I think it is. We took it the morning my parents left after I had been up all night throwing up. Yay for getting the stomach flu the day my help leaves and having the joy of a 1 year and 3 week old to take care of! (I actually didn't have Liam for a good portion of the time as the Dirkses and Provosts swooped in and saved me) Anyway, I had great plans of what we would wear and how it would be matching and cute. At the baby shower, we had gotten matching sweaters for the boys that would have been perfect. That morning however, the sweaters, matching, looking good, none of that was in my mind. I was just impressed with myself that I was dressed and that Asher hadn't leaked through on his sleeper during the night. Might as well keep him in it, right!? I then tossed Liam into a new outfit my parents had gotten him that was cute, but orange. Yep, orange, the perfect color to go with the seasonal colors of red and green. It'll probably end up being a favorite Christmas picture of mine just because of the memory :)
