Thanksgiving in Palm Springs

We were invited to Arianna's grandparents for Thanksgiving and got to stay several days. We had a very relaxing time with our family!

Liam gets to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa Bennett.

Great Grandma babysitting Liam so we could have a date at the pool.

Just a little bed head.

On our way home from Palm Springs, we got to meet up with John, Beth, and Abigail for lunch. It was great to see them again and catch up.

Abby and Liam get to meet. They didn't pay much attention to each other, but we figure they were just playing it cool.

Observing Liam

How fun it is to just spend time with Liam every day!

Owen

Here's our easy going cat. I gave him a bath a short while later too.

(Notice how we now have spit up all over our clothes :)

We've Got a New Attitude

Bath time has become more enjoyable=more smiles, less freaked out stares.

Happy Nappy.

Am I Cute?

Am I cute? Well, am I?

As our good friend from college, Josh Andrew, used to say,
"Uhhh... uh, oui."

LaNae and Claire Visit

LaNae and Claire came for a visit and met Liam while they were here. It was great to get to visit with them and introduce them to our precious son.

Note how Owen (the cat) is continually perplexed why everyone keeps paying attention to that wiggly, loud, miniature human instead of to him. Poor Owen, life has changed forever for him, and not in a good way.

One Month Old!

Our blue-eyed baby boy. Where did he get those?

Liam doing tummy time on his cool surfboard mat.

An 80 Degree Autumn Day

As we've been in California (otherwise known as the land of perpetual sun) these past few years, we've often missed the four seasons that we got to enjoy in Spokane and Portland. But as we look forward with excitement to moving to Rockford, Illinois, we realize that we'll probably look back during the frigid winters of the Midwest on these sunny days and long for them too. Ahh, how the battle for contentment never ends (at least in this life :)

Not so sure about this whole bathing thing.

Life is better outside the tub.

Happy Birthday Grandma Karen!

Liam looking cute before his walk in the stroller, wishing Grandma was here to push him.
